WordPress Developer (part-time, remote)
We are looking for a WordPress Developer to work on landing page optimization and integrations with third-party services. Hard skills we expect from candidates: 1. WordPress Theme and plugin development — hooks, filters, custom post types WordPress REST API — creating and consuming endpoints Security configuration — sanitization, roles, permissions Performance optimization — caching, query optimization 2. PHP / Frontend PHP 7.4+ / 8.x — OOP, Composer HTML, CSS, JavaScript — theme edits and UI adjustments Git — basic workflow, pull requests 3. MySQL Understanding of WordPress table structure Writing SQL queries — SELECT, JOIN, indexes Backups and basic database administration Slow query optimization 4. OS & Server Linux basics — SSH, permissions, users Web stack configuration — nginx/apache, php-fpm Log reading and debugging Staging and production deployment 5. API Integrations Working with client REST APIs — OAuth, API keys, webhooks Handling JSON, CSV, XML Rate limiting and retry logic Integration documentation 6. Airtable (optional, but a plus) Airtable API Airtable ↔ WordPress data sync Automations and webhooks setup Table and data structuring Core responsibilities — plugins & 3rd-party integrations: Plugin architecture design Integration of external services and payment systems Cron jobs and background processes Writing clean, well-documented code
