Job Description:
Responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and supporting WordPress-based websites and blogs with a focus on performance, security, accessibility, and scalable publishing workflows. Works closely with content marketing and operations teams to enable reliable blog staging, publishing, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Customize and extend existing themes and plugins
• Convert Figma / PSD / XD designs into responsive WordPress websites
• Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external systems
• Manage website security, backups, and updates
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across environments
• Manage deployments from local → staging → production
• Configure hosting environments and domain setups
• Maintain version control and follow proper release processes
• Monitor live environments and resolve production issues
Deployment / DevOps Requirements
• Experience with Git-based workflows
• Ability to handle manual and automated deployments
• Experience working with staging and production environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (preferred)
• Experience with hosting platforms:
• cPanel, Plesk, AWS, Digital Ocean, Cloudways
• Database migration and environment configuration
• SSL setup, DNS management, and server configuration basics
Required Technical Skills
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Custom theme development experience
• Plugin development & customization
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Website performance optimization techniques
• Security best practices
Mandatory Skills:
