WooCommerce Developer
The WooCommerce Developer / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, optimization, and ongoing management of e-commerce websites powered by WooCommerce. This hybrid role combines technical development with project management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features, integrations, and enhancements that support business goals. FormeKey Responsibilities WooCommerce Development Develop, configure, and customize WooCommerce websites, plugins, and themes. Implement new features, integrations, and API connections with third-party platforms (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping tools, etc.).Optimize website performance, speed, mobile responsiveness, and UI/UX. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and WooCommerce/WordPress updates. Ensure sites follow best practices for security, SEO, and scalability. Project Management Manage e-commerce development projects from concept to launch. Create project plans, timelines, task lists, and documentation. Coordinate with designers, developers, marketing, and external vendors to execute deliverables. Track progress, manage priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.Conduct QA testing and approve releases before deployment. E-commerce Operations Support Maintain product catalogs, pricing structures, and inventory workflows. (Catalogue will be providing by the marketing team. Support order processing integrations, automation, and operational efficiency. Monitor analytics, conversion performance, and site metrics to recommend improvements. Develop SOPs for site maintenance and version control (Git, staging environments). Forme Required Qualifications 3+ years of WooCommerce and WordPress development experience.Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL. Experience with custom plugin development and WooCommerce hooks/filters. Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, UX principles, and conversion funnels. Experience managing technical projects with tools like Jira, Asana, Trello, or similar. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Forme Preferred Qualifications Experience with API integrations (REST, GraphQL). Familiarity with payment gateways, ERP or fulfillment systems, and CRM integrations.Experience with performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, CDN, server optimization). Understanding of SEO, GA4, tag management, and tracking implementation. Experience working in agile or hybrid project management environments. Background in B2B e-commerce, wholesale pricing, or punchout catalogs is a plus.
