Windows 11 Migration Technician
Description
We are seeking detail-oriented, customer-focused technicians to support a large-scale Windows 11 rollout across multiple locations. This role involves imaging, provisioning, laptop swaps, and repurposing returned devices. Technicians will work closely with end users and must demonstrate professionalism and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities:
Imaging & Pre-Provisioning
- Follow documented imaging procedures
- Handle various device scenarios (new, repurposed, quarantined, RMA, etc.)
- Ensure proper enrollment and compliance
User Preparedness
- Schedule and conduct 15-minute prep calls with users
- Assist with OneDrive sync, browser data backup, and password resets
- Confirm readiness for provisioning
Laptop Provisioning
- Add users to appropriate groups
- Install core and non-standard apps via Company Portal
- Perform quality control checks:
- Start menu, taskbar, network drives, printers
- OneDrive, Acrobat, Outlook, Office ribbon settings
- File associations and compliance status
Deployment & Rollout
- Schedule and conduct laptop swap sessions (in-person or remote)
- Guide users through login, setup, and personalization
- Reclaim and process Windows 10 laptops
Device Repurposing
- Clean and inspect returned laptops
- Test keyboard, screen, ports, and battery (especially Gen 7 models)
- Flag devices for RMA if under warranty
- Reimage and shelve usable devices

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
