Website Revisions: Content Update, ADA Compliance, SEO, Resource Library & Blog Migration
We are seeking an experienced web developer/designer to perform comprehensive revisions on our existing website. The goal is to enhance user experience, improve accessibility, boost search engine visibility, and expand our content offerings.
Key Deliverables:
1. Content Update:
- Review and update all existing website content for accuracy, clarity, and conciseness.
- Ensure consistent branding and tone throughout the site.
- You will be provided with updated content
2. ADA Compliance Implementation:
- Thoroughly audit the website for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance (or higher if required).
- Implement necessary changes to ensure accessibility for users with disabilities (e.g., proper alt text for images, keyboard navigation, clear heading structures, sufficient color contrast, ARIA attributes where applicable).
- Provide documentation of steps taken for compliance.
3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit of the current website.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices for all existing and new content (e.g., meta titles, descriptions, heading tags, keyword optimization, image optimization).
- Improve website speed and mobile responsiveness.
- Address any broken links or crawl errors.
- Integrate with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
4. Resource Library Creation:
- Design and develop a new, dedicated "Resource Library" page/section.
- This library will host various content types (e.g., PDFs, whitepapers, case studies, videos).
- Implement a lead capture form to "gate" specific premium content, requiring users to submit their information (name, email) before accessing the resource.
- Integrate the lead capture form with a suitable email marketing platform.
- Ensure easy content management for future additions.
5. Blog Page Creation & Content Migration:
- Create a new, dedicated "Blog" page on the main website.
- Seamlessly migrate all existing blog posts and associated media from our current WordPress blog: https://aureliomayorga.wordpress.com to the new blog page.
- Ensure proper URL redirects are implemented for all migrated posts to maintain SEO value.
- Maintain categories, tags, and comments (if applicable).
- Ensure the new blog design is consistent with the main website branding.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in website development, particularly with WordPress.
- Strong understanding and experience with ADA/WCAG compliance.
- Demonstrable expertise in on-page SEO best practices.
- Experience in creating and integrating lead capture forms.
