Website Developer /Expert Level/ /Remote/
Job Role: We are looking for a seasoned website developer to join our product team. This role requires you to be a tech-savvy contributor in translating the customer needs and user expectation into an interactive website in WordPress. You’ll be an exceptional problem solver and take responsible actions in ensuring the application is optimized both in technology and in delivering the best user experience. Responsibilities: • Work closely with design, product management and development teams to create elegant, usable, responsive and interactive interfaces across multiple devices. • Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating awesome interactions from designs, writing reusable content modules and maintainability of the code. • Implement UI development principles to ensure that the product client-side serves at scale. • Review and optimize app usage by monitoring key metrics and rectifying the issues proactively. • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and bring in optimal flow for rapidly changing design/ technology • Create the website and web application using HTML5, WordPress and any latest CMS • Fix the bugs, technical issues of existing website to make it easy to use • Launch the website with proper configuration as required • Theme/Template modification according to development required. • Perform Website Evaluation changes on the website includes: o SEO friendly URL re-writing • Proper image configuration • Robots file configuration • Sitemap file configuration • URL re-writing, redirection • Plug-in customization • Manage Page load time, w3c standards. Etc. Requirements: • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as a web developer, UI developer, JavaScript and WordPress expert • Sound knowledge in HTML and CSS • Familiar with UI layouts, SASS, Bootstrap, and the CSS GRID system • Proficient with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, Angular et al • Experience debugging using popular JavaScript-based tools like Chrome Developer Console • Passionate to create good design and usability • A team player with good communication skills • Experience in building applications with Wordpress, PHP and MySQL. • Good Knowledge of HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap • on e-commerce application will be an added advantage. • Should have expertise in PHP & familiar with any PHP framework such as Zend, CakePHP or Slim framework. • Knowledge of custom CMS will be an added advantage. • Knowledge of modern web design techniques will be an added advantage • Moderate knowledge in responsive website, email newsletter creation. • Experience developing rich user interfaces for web applications for desktop or mobile devices • Able to create an interactive and responsive web application. • Experience in implementing, testing, and tuning web projects. Personal Qualities: • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. • Ability to meet deadlines and to adapt to change in an ambiguous environment. • Comfortable both working within an existing code base and writing code from scratch. • Excellent problem solving, design and debugging skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and work either independently or with the team. • Love for coding, with the ability to intuitively pick up and use any new language/framework.
