WebRTC SFU Engineer

Stream powers chat & video for many large apps like Strava, Nextdoor, Patreon, IBM, Adobe and Midjourney. For video we’ve built our own Go/Pion based SFU and a network of edge servers around the world.We are looking for a WebRTC SFU Engineer to join our team and work on the SFU. The goal is to raise the bar on the developer experience and make it much easier to add real time audio/video to any application. We are also expanding into AI integrations for realtime audio & video. Remote (EU) or Amsterdam (relocation and Visa sponsorship available).Stream has a 10 week internal Go onboarding program, prior experience with Golang is not required.Hybrid policy: applicants based in the Netherlands or relocating here, are expected to work in the office in Amsterdam 3 times per week. Exemptions may apply to specific cases.What you will doWork on the core API of our video product, include the SFU and our media pipeline used for WHIP/WHEP/RTMP and other protocolsTechnologies you will work with: Golang, WebRTC, RTMP, SRT, HLS, protobuf, SVC codecs, Opus, bandwidth negotiationImprove performance and build new features of our SFU serverWork on our edge infrastructure and improve its stability and feature-setBuild new features to support existing and upcoming audio/video technologies (eg.
