Description: ASE is looking for experienced Web Developers to work in support of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, Florida. Responsibilities: • Develops, implements, and maintains websites, web applications, and application databases. • Ensures all code is properly structured, adheres to industry standards, and is compatible with various browsers and devices. • Optimizes website performance, scalability, and server-side code and processes. • Integrates websites with other computer applications and develop website infrastructure. • Designs user-friendly interfaces, navigation menus, and digital layouts that ensure compatibility and usability across different browsers and devices. • Utilizes web frameworks and client-side coding to enhance user experience. • This position has potential for hybrid flexibility once integrated with team and processes. Qualifications: • Current DoD Secret clearance required. • A.S. or B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, specializing in Web Design and Development or Software Engineering. • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in web development, with programming languages such as: React, JavaScript, Typescript, SQL, and CSS. • Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with a deep understanding of HTTP protocols, request/response cycles, and best practices for secure and efficient API development. • Experience in managing web servers, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting in environments like Nginx, Apache, or cloud-based services. • Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data migration strategies as well as knowledge of Object Relational Mappers (ORM). • Proven experience in writing, updating, and maintaining efficient, testable, and well-documented code. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a penchant for teamwork. Desired Qualifications: • Demonstrated project-based experience in Python, with a focus on developing backend services, automating tasks, or building data-driven applications, including hands-on work with popular frameworks like Django or Flask. • Experience with Dash, Plotly, or SQLAlchemy. • Recent experience supporting Navy or DoD customer.
