Web Designer - CAA Technology, College of Architecture, Design,& the Arts

The University of Illinois Chicago is a prominent urban public research institution serving a diverse student body. They are seeking a Web Designer to lead the development and management of web-based infrastructure for the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts, utilizing platforms like Drupal and WordPress.ResponsibilitiesSupport/manage existing web-based infrastructure utilizing Drupal, WordPress and current web technologies JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, SSL, and Apache, among othersTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, performance, and usabilityCollaborate with other members of the development team to ensure the website meets organizational goals and is aligned with the overall digital strategyMaintain websites and web servers with security updates, patching, backups, optimizations, memory utilization , management, and other necessary maintenance tasks as neededManage the deployment of new servers and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processesDevelop and design new web-based applications and featuresProvide consultation and implementation of designs for new and existing web sitesCoordinate and oversee web marketing initiatives, utilizing platforms such as Google Ads across all CADA websitesMonitor web traffic for optimization and analysis.
