What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage coastal infrastructure projects from conceptual design through construction completion, including ports, docks, and seawalls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and understanding project objectives
- Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and compliance with timelines and cost estimates
- Provide technical leadership for permit applications, design drawings, specifications, and reports
- Oversee construction-phase services, including inspections and resolution of technical issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related engineering field
- Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering experience in the waterfront industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proven experience in managing coastal infrastructure projects and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Civil, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering
- Experience with permitting processes and preparation of environmental documentation
- Familiarity with sustainable coastal design practices and resilience planning
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Knowledge of construction management and inspection practices for coastal projects
