Job Overview: Warehouse Waiter (Logistics Operator) We're seeking a highly organized and physically capable Warehouse Waiter (Logistics Operator) to join our dynamic logistics team at Amazon. As a Warehouse Waiter, you will be responsible for handling, organizing, and moving inventory, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities: Safely and Efficiently Handle Inventory: Load, unload, and organize products within the warehouse using appropriate equipment and procedures, ensuring that all items are properly stored and secured. Perform Quality Control Checks: Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and quality, and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with team members to fulfill customer orders, ensuring that items are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and promptly. Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensuring that all areas of the warehouse are free from hazards and clutter. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems: Use warehouse management systems and technology to track and locate inventory, and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor. Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and any other issues that may arise. Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role. Previous Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required. Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy items, often exceeding 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software. Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Forklift Operator Certification: Forklift operator certification is preferred, but not required. Inventory Management Experience: Experience with inventory management software and warehouse management systems is preferred. Leadership Experience: Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
