In this role, you will pull orders for customers and load orders onto our company delivery trucks. You will perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.Specific duties may include:Following all applicable safety rules and proceduresReceiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventoryOrganizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipmentPulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveriesMaintaining all products in a quality and marketable conditionKeeping accurate inventory recordsOperating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loadsEstimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweightPhysically sorting through various products in order to remove defective materialResponsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assignedSpecific qualifications include:Valid CDL - Class B minimumAbility to be trained and licensed/certified by L&W Supply to operate forklift equipmentAbility to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shiftsAbility to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistancePrevious warehouse experience is preferredKnowledge in all applicable building material products is preferredAbility to unload, transport, and position all building materials as requiredBoom truck experience is a plusBenefits may include:Health, dental, and vision coverage - eligible after 60 days, low out of pocket401(k) with generous company match - eligible after 60 days, immediately vestedEmployer paid employee assistance programEmployer paid short term and long term disabilityEmployer paid life insuranceFlex spendingPaid vacationPaid sick daysPaid holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer / Drug Free WorkplaceABC Supply values diversity and we actively encourage women, minorities, and veterans to apply.
