VP/Compliance Officer

About the position Responsibilities • Perform the functions and oversee the Bank's consumer compliance management program. • Implement a bank compliance monitoring system. • Develop a comprehensive compliance-training program for bank personnel. • Maintain a reference system that provides guidance on regulatory changes. • Ensure compliance with Fair Lending, Fair Credit Reporting, and Community Reinvestment functions. • Comply with meeting compliance and audit requirements. Requirements • A bachelor's degree in business administration, banking, or equivalent work experience. • Five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge of consumer regulations. • Knowledge and experience in Fair Lending Regulations. • Knowledge and experience in Fair Credit Reporting. • Knowledge and experience in Community Reinvestment Act. • Knowledge and experience in the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. • Knowledge of computer software e.g., MS Office suite. Nice-to-haves • Professional certification, such as Certified Bank Compliance Officer (CBCO), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP), regarded as an asset. • Proven success in the risk management field.
