VP Finance / Controller - private equity backed startup

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, Massachusetts (USA) Mission-driven, private equity backed start-up company is searching for a influential, top-performing, Controller to oversee accounting & FP&A responsibilities. The Controller will work with the CFO & CEO on strategic projects, will lead process improvements throughout the accounting & finance division and should be an entrepreneurial-minded individual who is excited by a highly diverse role, impactful role. This organization has completed a Series A funding round, has begun fundraising for Series B, and continues to grow organically and through acquisition. The Controller will oversee 3-4 people to start and will be pivotal in identifying and mentoring current and future talent. The ideal candidate is an extremely motivated, technically strong CPA, with prior experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Controller candidates should have 10-20 years of experience in startup, technology, PE-backed, high-growth environments, and experience taking an accounting/finance function from basic to top-tier.
