VMS Program Manager (Remote Eligible)

Remote Full-time
About the position

The corporate office of Express Employment International is seeking a VMS Program Manager. In this role you will own the strategic growth of our VMS portfolio, driving Sales and Account Development through expert program management and office enablement. You'll educate teams, deliver essential resources and tools, lead seamless implementations and onboardings, and serve as the key liaison and advocate for offices and MSPs during escalations. By managing the full client lifecycle, you'll create lasting "clients for life" partnerships that fuel revenue growth and exceptional experiences in our dynamic franchise environment.
This position is fully remote-eligible. For candidates based in the Oklahoma City area, the position is based at our corporate office with an expectation of approximately 80% onsite presence

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary accountable owner for a portfolio of VMS client accounts, delivering exceptional program performance while cross-training on additional accounts to provide reliable support and backup coverage
• Partner closely with the Strategic Sales team throughout the sales cycle, including participation in prospect, MSP, and internal discussions to ensure seamless alignment and realistic commitments
• Collaborate with Strategic Sales to validate that sales deliverables can be met or exceeded during implementation, bridging the transition from sales to operational success
• Deliver targeted training, coaching, and ongoing support to franchisees and office teams on client-specific VMS programs, processes, tools, and best practices
• Lead and coordinate the implementation of VMS technology solutions and client/MSP processes; facilitate technology updates by providing clear overviews and comprehensive training to franchisees and field teams
• Proactively investigate and resolve issues within VMS platforms for franchisees, including troubleshooting tool-related challenges and supporting invoice reconciliation efforts
• Maintain up-to-date service documentation for VMS clients on internal platforms (e.g., MyDot), ensuring accurate, current resources for franchisees and the broader field organization as accounts evolve
• Support the Director in developing and executing enhanced processes, resources, and tools to drive field performance and operational excellence
• Continuously assess and optimize VMS processes to boost sales growth, operational efficiency, and the overall experience for franchisees, office teams, clients, and MSP partners
• Leverage a suite of technology platforms—including VMS systems, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, CRM, and other tools—to maximize productivity and program effectiveness
• Work in close partnership with the Director on the 4DX methodology for annual planning, mid-year reviews, and year-end evaluations; execute critical actions to achieve divisional financial, service, and operational objectives
• Lead through influence, education, consulting, and coaching to foster alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement across stakeholders
• Provide direct leadership to VMS Program Specialist(s), if applicable, including goal setting, performance management, daily guidance, skill development (both technical and soft), feedback integration, coaching, and recognition of achievements

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience servicing and managing key accounts at a corporate or field level in the staffing industry
• Previous experience in staffing is required, with large-scale account management experience considered a strong advantage
• VMS and MSP experience, knowledge a strong plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and hands-on experience using AI tools to support productivity, analysis, or automation.
• High initiative-taking with strong people skills and the ability to manage a multitude of activities simultaneously
