Job Overview: Virtual Property Claims Specialist We're seeking an experienced Virtual Property Claims Specialist to join our remote team. As a key member of our claims department, you'll provide superior property claims service to all regions by handling Property and Inland Marine claims of varying exposures. Your responsibilities will include investigating claims, estimating property damages, managing experts and vendors, obtaining necessary documentation, and effecting accurate settlements within established authority and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: Handle property/inland marine claims as assigned, evaluating and settling property-related damages of varying exposures and complexities. Occasionally handle losses exceeding $100,000 in aggregate claim value. Manage typical Business Income losses. Support the corporate catastrophe team by making initial contacts, triaging claims, handling assigned CAT claims, and serving as a CAT resolution team within various regions. Make coverage determinations, negotiate settlements, reserve, and settle claims within established authority. Respond to legal, regulatory, or appeals situations or requests. Essential Qualifications: A college degree is preferred. At least 5 years of claims experience, with thorough knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines coverages and computer-based damage estimating. Ability to work varying shifts. Proficiency in standard business and claim-specific computer software programs, with efficient keyboarding skills. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements. Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $71,000 - $112,000, depending on your location, education, qualifications, experience, and skills.
