Virtual Patient Safety Monitor - Night Shift - Remote Opportunity with Workwarp

We're now seeking a skilled and compassionate Virtual Patient Safety Monitor to join our team on a part-time night shift schedule. About the Role As a Virtual Patient Safety Monitor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. You'll work closely with our bedside nursing team to provide delegated direct patient care interventions, monitor patients for changes in condition, and report any concerns to the RN/LPN. Key Responsibilities Implements identified care plans through coordination with the interdisciplinary care team to promote health and wellness. Collaborates with the care team to achieve expected patient outcomes. Obtains verbal report from patient's nurse, including information on care needs, diagnosis, and special considerations. Communicates pertinent data and information to the nurse in a timely manner and accurately records data collected. Provides patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction by assisting with ambulation, positioning, and other ADLs as directed. Promotes infection prevention through standard precautions, hand hygiene, and cleanliness of patient rooms. Delivers care guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring, creating caring relationships and displaying unconditional acceptance and respect. Positions self in patient room to continuously observe patient's behavior and activity. Assists with lifting and movement of patients as directed by the nurse. Promotes a respectful environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and supports effective professional relationships. Practices Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles in daily work. Commits to lifelong learning through critical thinking, self-reflection, and inquiry. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to successfully complete Safety Monitor/Patient Sitter competency checklist within 90 days of hire. Non-violent crisis prevention (Mandt) training with orientation and annual certification. Basic Life Support (BLS/RQI) certification within 90 days of hire. Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to patient rights and needs. Ability to formulate positive working relationships with healthcare customers. Competency in selected psychomotor skills. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Direct patient care experience.
