Littera Education is looking for English / Reading / ELA tutors to join our Fall 2023 virtual tutor pool. Tutors will provide tutoring to K-6 students across the United States using provided lesson content. • The opportunity requires dedicated virtual tutors who can commit to consistent availability on the same days and at the same times from week to week. • Tutoring sessions take place Monday to Friday between 8am ET and 9pm ET. • Tutors for this role would add availability to their calendar at least 3 days a week at the same times (not including Saturday and Sunday). • A session series may range from a six week length, up to the full school year. • Tutors may be assigned to more than one session series and can conduct multiple daily sessions. Tutors at Littera are booked with a consistent schedule from week to week as part of a high dosage tutoring model where tutors meet with the same student for an ongoing session series. If you are hired for this program, you will be expected to open your calendar availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 9:00 ET for potential scheduling. Additional hours may be available if you choose to open your calendar beyond this required hour of time. Requirements: • Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity • Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability, week to week at the same time • Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication • A high comfort level with online virtual tools and technology • Desktop or laptop using the Chrome browser, a video camera, and a reliable/stable internet connection. We recommend a hard-wired high-speed internet connection and a noise canceling headset with microphone • Tutors must reside and tutor from within the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, college students are welcome to apply with 1+ years of relevant experience • TESOL or TEFL certificate a plus Please note, this is a remote contract position and is not full-time. This role is perfect for you if you are interested in earning supplemental income with a flexible schedule that you choose, Littera does not guarantee a set number of hours per week.
