Virtual Assistant & Video Editor: YouTube (Long & Short Form) and High-Impact Ad Content

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Virtual Assistant with proven expertise in video editing for both long-form YouTube content and dynamic short-form videos (Reels/Shorts/TikTok). The primary focus of this role is twofold: 1. Transforming our existing long-form YouTube content into highly engaging, visually compelling, and platform-optimized short-form clips. 2. Developing high-conversion ad content from this material. Detailed Responsibilities & Requirements I. Long-Form Editing (YouTube) • Edit and finalize 1-2 long-form YouTube videos per week (typically 8-15 minutes in length) from raw footage. • Ensure professional pacing, clean cuts, clear audio, and consistent color correction/grading. • Incorporate B-roll, motion graphics, and background music (royalty-free) as needed to enhance storytelling and viewer retention. II. Short-Form Repurposing & Creation (Reels/Shorts/TikTok) • Proficiently identify the highest-impact, most viral-worthy moments from the long-form videos to create 5-10 short-form clips per long-form video. • Master the specific formatting requirements for vertical video (9:16 ratio): correct safe zones, aspect ratios, and export settings for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. • Create visually compelling content: This is a non-negotiable requirement. Must be expert in adding dynamic, engaging text overlays, captions (with high accuracy), strategic zooms/pans, and sound effects to maximize viewer retention and scroll-stopping power. III. Ad Content Creation • Conceptualize and edit high-converting ad content (typically 15-60 seconds) using repurposed clips and/or custom footage. • Understand fundamental ad creative best practices (strong hooks, clear call-to-actions, pacing tailored for paid traffic). • Format ads correctly for various platforms (e.g., Facebook/Instagram Ads Manager, YouTube). Required Skills & Proficiencies (Mandatory) • Expert proficiency in a professional video editing suite (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or a proven alternative like CapCut for advanced short-form). • Deep understanding of social media platform requirements and audience behavior (specifically YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok). • Proven ability to create visually dynamic and aesthetically pleasing content, not just simple cuts. • Strong organizational skills for managing raw files, projects, and final exports. • Excellent communication and a proactive approach to creative feedback.
