About the Role Job Snapshot: Company: Littera Education Position: Virtual Algebra I Tutor Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote (work from anywhere) Compensation: Competitive salary of $18-$22 per hour Job Description As a Virtual Algebra I Tutor with Littera Education, you'll have the opportunity to work with students across the United States, providing high-quality tutoring support in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting. Your mission will be to develop students' understanding of algebra concepts, foster a love for learning, and help them achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities: Indicate your availability to tutor, with a preference for at least one full hour on at least two weekdays (same days and times) from week to week Complete curriculum reviews for lesson content you'd like to use in sessions Tutor students virtually, building strong relationships and providing personalized support Review and utilize provided lesson content materials to ensure consistency and quality Effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills Utilize online virtual tools and technology with ease, including desktop or laptop, Chrome browser, video camera, and reliable internet connection Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity Relatively consistent calendar availability to support a session series from week to week at the same time with the same student(s) Confident knowledge of at least one of the following: algebra I, algebra II, geometry, or pre-algebra Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 1+ years of relevant experience working with students Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Virtual Algebra I Tutor with Littera Education, you'll need: Strong mathematical knowledge and understanding of algebra concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing schedules and student needs Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Littera Education, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our tutors.
