Video Editor — Short-Form Social (TikTok/Reels/Shorts) — Full-Time, Long-Term
We're CollegeWalk and we're hiring a US-based editor to take our assembly cuts to rough cuts using our in-house software plus Descript. This is a full-time, long-term role for someone who wants steady work and can plug in deeply with our team.
What you'll do:
- Take assembly cuts and turn them into tight, rough cuts ready for final polish
- Work primarily in our proprietary software and Descript (we'll train you on ours — if you know Descript, you'll pick it up fast)
- Edit short-form vertical content for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
- Ship high volume without letting quality slip
Who we're looking for:
- Strong taste. This is the #1 thing. You understand pacing, when to cut, when to let a beat breathe, what makes a hook land, and what kills a short. We don't care about flashy effects — we care that your edits feel right.
- Comfortable with long hours. This is essentially a full-time role and we need someone who can actually put in the time.
- Reliable, communicative, and easy to work with
- Based in the US
- Deadline-driven — hours are flexible as long as the work ships on time
Rate: $15-$25/hr depending on experience and portfolio. Strong performers move up quickly.
