Job Title: VFX Artist (Contract) Company: Bat Around™ Location: Remote Contract Length: Short-term Commitment: Part-time (20–30 hours per week) About the Role Bat Around™ is seeking an experienced VFX Artist to design and implement dynamic, stylized visual effects for our mobile app. This short-term contract role focuses on creating high-quality, performance-optimized VFX to elevate the game experience. All core deliverables are expected to be completed by the end of February. Responsibilities Create particle-based effects such as sparks, trails, and other gameplay visual flourishes. Design and implement UI-focused VFX (button interactions, visual feedback, etc.). Optimize effects for performance in a mobile 3D environment using frameworks like Three.js. Collaborate with the 3D Artist and engineering team to maintain a cohesive visual style. Deliver high-quality, reusable VFX assets that integrate seamlessly into the app. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a VFX Artist, ideally in mobile or casual games. Strong portfolio showcasing stylized, performance-oriented effects . Proficiency with VFX tools such as Houdini, Particle Illusion, or Niagara . Practical experience with Three.js, WebGL, or similar frameworks for VFX implementation. Understanding of mobile performance constraints and optimization techniques.
