Vertical Sales Director, Transportation EUROPE

The Vertical Solution Director, Transportation - Europe is responsible for defining and executing the strategic growth agenda for the Transportation vertical across Europe.This role combines strategic leadership, business development, and solution selling excellence, with a strong focus on expanding Belden’s footprint in transportation infrastructure, driving large, complex, solution-based opportunities, building a high-performing, specialized solution sales team and influencing ecosystem stakeholders (EPCs, system integrators, end users). You will act as the primary vertical leader, owning the go-to-market strategy, pipeline development, and business performance for the Transportation segment in Europe.

You will make an impact in the following way:


Drive Vertical Strategy & Growth: Define and execute the Transportation strategy across Europe, focusing on priority segments, key accounts, and differentiatedvalue propositions in digitalization, cybersecurity, and connectivity.
Own Pipeline & Strategic Deals: Lead pipeline creation and conversion, ensuring early engagement in strategic projects and driving large, complex opportunities through a disciplined solution-selling approach.
Lead & Develop the Team: Build and coach a high-performing team of Solution Account Managers, strengthening vertical expertise, customer intimacy, and value-based selling capabilities.
Manage Strategic Ecosystem: Develop strong relationships with OEMs, operators, EPCs, and partners, while orchestrating collaboration with CIC, Marketing,Product Management, and Channel teams.
Ensure Cross-Functional Execution: Align regional sales, technical, and marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions, generate demand, and scale best practices across the organization.
Own Performance & Execution Discipline: Drive business performance (orders, revenue, pipeline, win rate), ensure forecast accuracy, and lead structured business reviews.


What you will bring:


Relevant experience: 10+ years in industrial/infrastructure markets (preferably Transportation), with a strong track record in solution selling, complex deal management, and leading multi-country teams. Deep exposure to EPCs, system integrators, and major end users.
Leadership experience and Strategic mindset: strong leadership and team development skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across complex ecosystems.
Technical & Market Understanding: Solid knowledge of industrial networking, cybersecurity in critical infrastructure, and digital transformation trends
International exposure: Experience in a medium-to-large international organization, working in a matrix environment and with cross-functional teams.
