They are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join their immunology group, providing hands-on experience in laboratory-based research for developing novel therapeutics for autoimmune diseases. Responsibilities Assist in developing, conducting, and optimizing assays like flow cytometry, ELISA, or other cellular assays Isolation and handling of primary human cells and cell lines, including primary human immune cells Perform data analysis and interpret experimental results Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental data and procedures Present data at lab and departmental meetings Skills Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Chemical Biology, Bioengineering, or a related scientific field An interest in pursuing research in biology, particularly immunology Strong interest in gaining industry experience and learning new skills Strong background in biology as demonstrated by completion of university level coursework Ability to work in a laboratory environment and learn to use equipment with an emphasis on lab safety Some experience in laboratory work through courses, volunteering, etc. is desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills A positive attitude and willingness to work with a diverse team Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
