UX Designer Intern
Description As a UX Design Intern at Leidos, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced design team to create intuitive and engaging user experiences across our digital platforms. Under the guidance of senior designers, you will contribute to all stages of the design process, from research and concept development to prototyping and usability testing. This hands-on role offers valuable experience and mentorship in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Primary Responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, business requirements, and project goals. • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions. • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions. • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results. • Assist in the development and maintenance of design systems and documentation. • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design. Basic Qualifications • Pursuing a MS degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects and process. • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar. • Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex design problems. • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and typography. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. • Knowledge of UX design best practices • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Pay Range: Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
