Utah-based, Remote, Exp. Medical Insurance Claims Representative (Similar to Examiner, Adjuster)
I am recruiting for a Utah, Remote, Business Medical Claims Representative for an 80-person, A-rated insurance company & think you may be a great fit.

Overview:
Ā Start-to-finish, Manage & Investigate minimal to high-exposure medical claims
Ā Work with a supervisor to close cases
Required:
Ā Min. 1-3 yrs of complex Medical Malpractice, Casualty, or Bodily Injury claims experience
Ā Detail-oriented, Strong organizational skills
Ā Excellent communication & judgment
Ā Self-starter, can work remotely
Ā Valid driver's license, ability to travel 25%
Ā Field experience (preferred)
Ā Education Minimum: Completion of High-school or GED equivalent
Initial Claim Handling:
Ā Take 1st notices, review instructions
Ā Assess coverage
Ā Select defense counsel
Ā Make service provider & reserve recommendations
Ā Prepare communication to insured & counsel
Ā Report claims to regulatory bodies as needed
Manage Claim:
Ā Organize & review medical records
Ā Interview insured & claimants, summarize
Ā Select consultants, attend depositions
Ā Monitor reserves, prepare management reports
Ā Evaluate settlement value, prepare for settlement
Ā Enter data, review, pay bills
Claim Resolution:
Ā Discuss settlement, obtain consent
Ā Log trial dates, prepare Request for Authority
Ā Prepare strategy, attend mediations, monitor trial
Ā Close file after final payments, document
