U.S. Tax Preparer (PTIN Required) – Ongoing Work, Individual & Small Business Returns - Contract to Hire
We are looking for an experienced U.S. tax preparer for ongoing work preparing individual and small business tax returns.
This is a client-facing service business, and we are building a long-term relationship with a reliable preparer who can handle consistent volume during tax season and beyond.
Scope of Work:
• Prepare and review federal (and state, if applicable) tax returns
• Typical returns include:
• W-2 (simple returns)
• W-2 + 1099 / itemized deductions
• Schedule C (self-employed / small business)
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws
• Communicate clearly on any missing information or issues
Requirements:
• Valid PTIN (required)
• EA, CPA, or strong proven experience preferred
• Experience with U.S. individual tax returns
• Familiar with common forms (1040, Schedule C, etc.)
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain quick turnaround (2–5 days preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Compensation:
This is ongoing work. Budget varies based on complexity:
• Simple returns: $50–$80
• Moderate returns: $80–$120
• Business / Schedule C: $120–$200+
(We are open to discussing rates for consistent volume)
Additional Details:
• Work will be provided on a per-return basis
• Potential for consistent weekly volume
• Opportunity for long-term collaboration
