US Tax Accountant (Individual Filing – W-2 + Investments) | Long-Term Collaboration

Profile:

•Individual filing (relatively straightforward case)

• Income + brokerage investments (Fidelity – ETFs, stocks, dividends, capital gains)

• Bank interest income

• No complex business income for this year

The main goal is to ensure accurate filing, optimization of deductions/credits where applicable, and full compliance with US tax regulations.

Scope of Work (Current Year)

• Preparation and filing of federal tax return

• Massachusetts state tax filing

• Handling brokerage statements (1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-INT, etc.)

• Review for any applicable tax credits or deductions

• Brief explanation of tax outcomes and optimization opportunities

• Guidance throughout the process – answer to any Qs

Future Collaboration (Potential – not in scope for the current engagement)

Subject to a successful first engagement, I would be interested in building a long-term working relationship instead of a one-off tax filing.

Potential future scope includes:

• Annual personal tax filings (recurring)

• Strategic tax planning (investments, tax efficiency)

• Possible business tax filing starting next year (LLC)

• Guidance on cross-year tax optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, EA, or licensed US tax professional

• Strong experience with investment income (stocks, ETFs, brokerage accounts)

• Experience with Massachusetts state taxes

• Familiarity with platforms like Fidelity (a plus)

• Excellent communication and responsiveness

Nice to Have (Bonus)

• Experience with international clients or dual-country tax situations
