Committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, the company continually iterates to maintain a supportive and inclusive culture.About the RoleThe US Payroll and HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive payroll support from April through September and general HR administrative support and project coordination from October through March. You will play a key role in processing payroll, supporting onboarding for over 2,000 seasonal summer staff, and assisting with job postings and hiring logistics. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring smooth payroll and HR operations.What you’ll doPayroll SupportPreparing, reviewing, and processing bi-weekly payroll for seasonal and full-time staff.Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.Responding to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.Audit and verify timekeeping data and review payroll reports for accuracy each payroll period.Assisting with year-end payroll processes, including reporting and audits.HR Administrative SupportSupporting the launch and management of job postings for summer hiring, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.Coordinating onboarding processes for seasonal staff, including documentation and system updates.Managing HR records and maintaining data integrity within the HRIS.Assisting in organizing and executing HR projects, such as training initiatives and compliance audits.General ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with the HR team to improve payroll and HR processes.Providing administrative support for the HR department, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.Ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.RequirementsWhat You BringAt least 3-4 years of experience processing payroll and HR administrative dutiesFamiliarity with any US payroll software: ADP Total Source is highly preferredStrong communication and customer service skills.Experience in seasonal or high-volume hiring environments is a plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders and resolve system-related challenges with empathy and true partnership.Mission-Driven: Inspired by our Client’s purpose to empower young innovators through innovation education and project-based learning, eager to contribute to a professional, welcoming, camp-inspired culture.Detail-oriented: Your keen eye for accuracy ensures payroll and HR tasks are executed flawlessly.Organized: Skilled at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.Enthusiastically Collaborative: Bringing a spirit of partnership, fostering diverse perspectives and partnerships to drive creativity and success.Inclusive: Committed to creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, celebrating diversity as a strength.Adaptable: Approaching challenges with curiosity and a growth mindset, supporting solutions that uplift colleagues and communities.Originally posted on Himalayas
