Job Summary
We are seeking a Fitness Instructor/Assistant Gym Director to join our successful gym. As a Fitness Instructor and Assistant Director, you will plan and lead fitness classes for kids 5 mos- 12 yrs old, ensuring that kids of all fitness levels are able to participate. Your goal is to help kids reach their potential levels and have fun while doing it You are also responsible for the gym's day-to-day operation, marketing and enrollment tasks. The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for fitness and love working with children.
Responsibilities
Lead a wide variety of classes for kids 5mos- 12 yrs old.
Lead parties on Saturdays and Sundays
Lead day camp and special family events.
Train new hires and new assitants.
Develop classes that are physically challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe.
Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions
Promote programs, classes, and membership through social media and networking
Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business policies.
Maintain a clean facility all the time
Qualifications
Bacholor's Degree preferrable, Associate Degree or College Level education required (Major in Business Management, Advertisement, Fitness, Dance, Marketing, etc.)
Current gymnastics, children's trainer or fitness instructor certification.
Teachng experience in kids' tumbling, gymnastics, cheerleading, or dance, etc.
Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
First aid and CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Willing to work in evenings and weekends.
Expected salary: $36000 - 42000 per year
