Job description: Job Description Summary The Gen IV Electrical Technical Leader will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, development and resource management of a technical team of engineers supporting GEH Nuclear. In addition, you will manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall engineering strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Have ownership and accountability for plant electrical systems from conceptual through final design for and site installation, requirements management, licensing, change control and engineering activities.
Be responsible for the coordination associated electrical design efforts, be responsible for oversight of the product technology decisions and be the escalation point and oversight for technical issue resolution.
Have accountability for delivering products and services on-time and on-budget.
Be responsible for team resource planning and project/program assignments.
Have accountability for delivering products and services on-time and on-budget.
Work collaboratively across the engineering matrix and with business leaders in Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing and Quality to ensure close coordination of technical inputs/outputs, project/product requirements, workforce planning/scheduling and risk management.
Act as a technical liaise with customers, partner organizations and suppliers as necessary and in close partnership/coordination with Product Development and Project Delivery leaders.
Partner with business teams and presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leads across GEH.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
Minimum 3 years hands on electrical design experience
Eligibility Requirements:

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for work scoping, deliverables planning, prioritizing, scheduling, budgeting, action tracking, monitoring, corrective actions, reporting, etc.
Experience with nuclear electrical equipment, with detailed knowledge in safety-related systems, hardware, theory of operation, equipment environmental, seismic qualification (EQ) testing and field services or plant start-ups.
Experience with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, etc.)
Strong Leadership Skills
Prior Experience working in Matrix environment.
Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, results oriented – Able to learn quickly and make reasoned, sound, and timely decisions.
Effective communication, cross- discipline and functional facilitation, and influencing skills, both verbal and written with focus on requirements, design basis document and technical presentation preparation and delivery.
The salary range for this position is $108,000k-$162,000k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
