This is a remote/work-from-home position.
Foot Locker is seeking a talented accounting and finance professional for our IT Financial Planning department. The Senior Financial Analyst needs to be detail-oriented and a critical thinker with the ability to provide support in a fast-paced environment. You will quickly assume holistic responsibility for all financial activities in your assigned category. This includes monthly account reconciliation and variance analysis, invoice processing, and forecast management. Other responsibilities may include asset/contract management as well as financial reporting. This is an excellet role for exposure, as you will regularly interact with other areas of the organization, including IT, Procurement, Accounting, and Vendor Management.
Responsibilities
Develop annual budget and maintain monthly forecasts for assigned category may include corporate back office and/or divisional/store expenses
Complete month-end accounting entries including accruals, reclasses, and allocations in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policy to ensure proper treatment of Information Technology spend
Complete month-end Account Reconciliation for assigned accounts
Complete monthly IT spend variance analysis, specifically variance to budget, forecast, and year-over-year/ last year comparisons
Audit invoices and work with vendor partners to resolve invoice discrepancies
Process invoices for assigned category by gaining approval for payment and sending to AP
Partner with vendors and internal technical teams to determine IT maintenance and contract renewal options as well as alternatives to minimize spend
Provide general accounting and analytical support to IT Management team
Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for IT management
Seek out expense reduction opportunities for IT spending
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred
Minimum of 3 years finance and/or accounting experience preferred
Understanding of accounting will especially helpful in this role
Experience with management of Information Technology expense not necessary but helpful
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite ( especially Excel)
Experience with using Accounting Systems preferred
Ability to function effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet financial deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management and a diverse team
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Organizational and time management skills

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $66000 - $75000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
