As a valued member of Stryker’s AI innovation unit, you will work alongside trailblazers, industry visionaries, innovators, and inventors who are committed to bringing computer vision, AI/ML and digital innovation to the operating room and other healthcare settings.

You’ll contribute to fast-paced cycles of innovation and develop core technologies that power a wide array of Stryker’s solutions, including: surgical robotics and navigation, image-guided surgery, treatment selection, outcome assessment, and clinical decision intelligence. You will apply your core skills across a range of deployment platforms spanning from mobile applications, cloud services, and SDKs to embedded systems, edge devices, and mixed reality (XR) platforms. You will have an opportunity to work across a wide variety of therapeutic areas ranging from orthopaedics and neurosurgery to emergency care and operating room safety and efficiency – plus many more.

Responsibilities:

Develop software applications in the Cloud to support AI research and medical devices.

Participate and collaborate in design, architecture, and implementation of software in the Cloud for SaaS services.

Develop high performance solutions for data collection and processing.

Participate and collaborate in strategic engineering decision making by performing necessary analyses,

Work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Mentor junior Cloud software engineers.

Participate in peer code reviews.

Work as part of a team using Agile development methods.

Contribute to technical design documentation for Cloud software.

Designing and implementing following best industry practices for security and privacy.

What You Will Need:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience

5+ years software development experience in a variety of disciplines

Experience in Cloud development in Azure

Proficiency with C#

Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience working with messaging queue services

Experience developing Web APIs and documenting Web APIs

Experience with the full software development life cycle

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Strong analytical skills, especially with respect to complex computing environments

Good communication, writing, and collaboration skills

Experience working in an Agile environment

Must be self-motivated, requiring little direction to achieve a complex goal

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Desired):

Experience in medical device software engineering practices

Experience mentoring other software engineers

Experience in Cloud development in both Azure and AWS

Experience work with AI and Machine Learning in the Cloud using services such as Azure ML

Experience working in event-driven systems

Experience with object/blob storage

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline...)

Experience developing web Single Page Applications (SPA) using modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)

Experience working with TypeScript and JavaScript

Experience with Cloud security in Azure and/or AWS

$109,500 - $232,900 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
