Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
Navigate routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Follow all local, state, and federal regulations related to trucking operations.
Skills
Proficient in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailer, flatbed, tanker, roll-off truck, and manual transmission vehicles.
Experience with route driving and understanding of logistics for efficient transportation.
Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo as needed.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on the road.
Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
