Overview
In this exciting externship, students will experience first-hand what it feels like to be part of a Fortune 100 company. As investors, venture capitalists (VCs) are investing in new ideas, innovations, and, most importantly, teams. It all starts with deal sourcing.
HP Tech Ventures is seeking ambitious students to help research relevant pre-seed stage startups for deal sourcing and evaluation. Externs will profile startup companies, learn what VCs look for, and participate in investing in the next generation of technology.
During this externship, you'll cultivate a diverse skill set, including:
Ã⢠Market Research: Research startup metrics, industry data, team, and... business models.
Ã⢠Strategic Planning: Determine product differentiation and strategy across startups and construct market maps across various startup sectors.
Ã⢠Presentation & Public Speaking: Present your findings using data visualization techniques, showcasing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making. Recommend attractive startups for further investment due diligence.
