Our client is a leading provider of AI-powered vacation rental software, empowering hosts to automate their business operations. They offer a comprehensive suite of tools including guest communication, channel management, and direct booking capabilities. The company is experiencing rapid growth and seeks to expand its financial team.

Why does this role exist?

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our fast-growing vacation rental software company. Your attention to detail, integrity, and proactive approach will contribute directly to our continued success and expansion.
The Impact you’ll make
• Maintain financial clarity and accuracy for multiple business entities
• Enable timely reporting and analysis for management and accounting teams
• Contribute to the overall financial health and compliance of the businesses

Your Tasks:
• Attend to monthly financial reports, records of payments and adjustments, ledger data entry, and daily accounting tasks.
• Oversee a company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, among others
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
• Extract and categorize financial data from bank and expense statements
• Record transactions accurately in Excel spreadsheets
• Prepare and organize financial data for month-end reporting
• Meet strict deadlines to provide journals to the accounting team
• Handle transactions from multiple businesses simultaneously
• Adapt to varying workloads and prioritize tasks effectively

What to Expect?
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• The target deadline is the end of the month, ensuring the client can provide the journal to her accounting team on time.
• Flexible work hours within CET timezone
• The rate is $7/hour.
• High attendance expectations.
• Must have no prior commitments that could affect work engagement.
• Must commit to a minimum of 40 hours a week.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum 6-month contract.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Hard Requirements
• Minimum 6 months proven accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel spreadsheets
• Demonstrated ability to categorize financial transactions correctly
• Experience in handling financial data for multiple businesses
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• WFH Set-Up:
• Computer with at least an Intel i3 core processor
• Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
• Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation
• Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
