As a Medical Claims Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting their mission by providing exceptional service, expertise, and care to patients, providers, and insurance payers. Job Responsibilities: As a Medical Claims Representative, you will be responsible for: Prior-Authorizations (PAs) and Insurance Verification: Process and manage prior authorizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client guidelines. Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, providers, and insurance payers via telephone and email to resolve claims, address concerns, and provide information. Insurance Coverage Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. Claims, Denials, and Appeals: Manage claims, denials, and appeals, working to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Billing and Coding: Perform billing and coding tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Customer Service: Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients and insurance providers, providing exceptional customer service and support. Requirements and Qualifications: To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must: Have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in medical insurance, prior authorization, or a related field. Possess experience with Medicare/Medicaid program administration and insurance verification. Be knowledgeable in claim adjudication or medical billing processes. Have a strong attendance record with no attendance issues. Reside in one of the following states to be considered: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, or Utah. Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, and insurance payers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex medical claims processes. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHRs) or other relevant software applications.
