Summary
Overview

A Workday Payroll Analyst will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing the Workday Payroll system. The role works closely with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to ensure payroll processes run accurately, comply with regulations, and leverage Workday capabilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workday Payroll System Administration
• Configure and maintain Workday Payroll modules
• Manage payroll business processes and security roles
• Support payroll integrations with external systems (benefits, tax vendors, banking)
• Maintain payroll configurations such as earnings, deductions, and tax settings

2. Payroll Processing Support
• Assist payroll team in running payroll cycles within Workday
• Monitor payroll calculations and resolve discrepancies
• Validate payroll results and troubleshoot payroll issues
• Ensure accurate tax and compliance processing

3. Reporting & Analytics
• Develop and maintain Workday payroll reports and dashboards
• Provide payroll data insights to HR and finance teams
• Support audits and compliance reporting
• Use Workday tools like Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Dashboards

4. Integrations & Data Management
• Manage payroll-related integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors
• Monitor inbound/outbound payroll data
• Troubleshoot integration failures and data issues
• Maintain payroll data integrity

5. System Enhancements & Projects
• Participate in Workday implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
• Gather requirements from payroll and HR stakeholders
• Perform system testing (UAT, regression testing)
• Document payroll processes and system changes

6. Compliance & Governance
• Ensure payroll configuration follows federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Support internal and external payroll audits
• Maintain compliance with company payroll policies

Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll

Payroll Knowledge
• Understanding of US payroll processes
• Knowledge of tax regulations, garnishments, deductions
• Experience with payroll reconciliation and validation
