URGENT Remote School Psychologist Position Warren MI Virtual Schools

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Soliant has an urgent need for a licensed school psychologist to provide immediate services to students in virtual learning environments across Warren area schools. Students are currently waiting for psychological evaluations and intervention services that significantly impact their educational outcomes. This position must be filled quickly to restore essential services. Why Immediate Action Is Needed Schools have critical gaps in school psychology coverage creating backlogs of evaluations and unmet student needs. This remote position serves approximately 50-60 students spanning grades K-12 who require comprehensive psychological services. You will work 37.5 hours per week conducting assessments, providing interventions, and collaborating with educational teams through virtual platforms. The timeline for filling this position is urgent, with schools seeking candidates who can begin within two weeks. Your expertise will directly impact students who are waiting for evaluations to determine special education eligibility and appropriate educational supports. Primary Job Responsibilities Administer and interpret comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations including cognitive testing, academic achievement assessments, and social-emotional-behavioral measures. Complete thorough evaluation reports that provide clear recommendations for educational programming and interventions. Provide individual counseling services addressing student mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, school refusal, and social challenges. Conduct group interventions focused on executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and peer relationships. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams and IEP meetings to determine eligibility and appropriate services. Complete Functional Behavior Assessments for students with significant behavioral concerns. Develop data-driven Behavior Intervention Plans with ongoing progress monitoring. Consult with teachers and parents on evidence-based strategies for academic and behavioral success. Provide crisis intervention services for students experiencing mental health emergencies. Analyze school-wide data to identify trends and inform systemic interventions. Maintain compliance with all evaluation timelines and documentation requirements. Required Credentials and Experience Current Michigan school psychologist licensure in good standing, Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from accredited program, minimum two years of experience working as a school psychologist, immediate availability to begin work, proficiency administering assessments in virtual formats, strong technology skills for telehealth service delivery, excellent report writing and communication abilities, professional home workspace with reliable internet connection. Additional Qualifications That Strengthen Applications Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential, doctoral degree in School Psychology, previous experience providing telepsychology services, training in evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions, knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, cultural competency working with diverse populations.
