RT SCADA to EMS GE EMS Expert / EMS Validation Specialist
Role Overview
Seeking a highly skilled RT SCADA to EMS Expert with extensive experience in GE EMS platforms, real-time data integration, and EMS validation processes. The consultant will support the deployment, integration, and validation of SCADA/EMS systems to ensure secure, stable, and efficient grid operations. Ideal candidates will bring deep knowledge of electric utility control systems, GE EMS architecture, and end-to-end process validation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with GE EMS (Grid Solutions or Alstom Grid EMS)
Solid understanding of SCADA protocols (DNP3, ICCP/TASE.2, Modbus, etc.)
Proven expertise in EMS validation, testing methodologies, and real-time systems integration
Familiarity with power system operations, generation dispatch, and transmission network analysis
Strong troubleshooting skills in mission-critical, real-time environments
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EMS deployment projects (migration, upgrade, or greenfield)
Understanding of cybersecurity standards for SCADA/EMS (e.g., NERC CIP)
Experience with Oracle/SQL and scripting (Python, Shell)
Background in control centre operations or utility environments
