✅ Upwork Job Post: Cloud Storage & Automation Engineer (Entry-Level / New Grad) Project-Based | Part-Time | AWS S3 | n8n | Automation | Web Integration Project Overview We’re looking for a talented, early-career cloud engineer — ideally a current senior in Computer Science or a recent graduate — who wants to build a real, resume-worthy cloud project involving AWS S3, workflow automation (n8n), and secure file handling. We are a multi-office U.S. law firm that needs a secure cloud file-storage system for client documents, along with automation workflows that integrate our website, n8n, and internal systems. This project also includes integrating AWS S3 and n8n with HubSpot so client intake data flows automatically into our CRM. If you want a project that will stand out on interviews and give you hands-on experience with cloud architecture and automation, this is it. What You Will Build You will design and implement: ✔ Secure AWS S3 storage structure Encrypted buckets Private access settings IAM roles for team-based permissions Logging and monitoring ✔ Automated workflows (n8n) Receive files from website forms or APIs Store them in proper S3 buckets/folders Trigger downstream automations Create folder structures for new clients automatically ✔ Web → S3 integration Secure upload endpoints API/webhook handling Serverless functions (if needed) ✔ HubSpot Integrations (CRM Automation) You will help design simple workflows that connect S3, n8n, and HubSpot, including: creating or updating contact records attaching uploaded files to the correct client record triggering deal stages or workflows based on intake events syncing website form submissions into HubSpot sending notifications or tasks to the team ✔ Documentation & diagrams Simple, clear instructions so the system can be maintained long-term. This is an end-to-end project where you’ll have ownership — and be able to point to it in your portfolio. Why This Project Is Great for a New Grad Real production infrastructure for a real company Work with AWS, automations, and backend workflows Build something that will actually be used daily Great for interviews and portfolio Flexible schedule Low-pressure, high-learning environment Skills Needed You do not need to be an expert — you just need to know the fundamentals and be able to learn fast. Required: AWS basics (S3 + IAM required) Understanding of APIs & webhooks Experience with either Node.js or Python JSON/YAML comfort Git/GitHub Nice to have: n8n experience Serverless functions (Lambda or Cloud Functions) Google Cloud experience Terraform or CloudFormation Docker basics Interest in automation Experience with HubSpot API (Contacts, Files, Deals, Workflows) Ideal Candidate Senior in CS, CE, Software Engineering, or similar OR recent graduate (1–2 years) Wants real-world cloud/automation experience Can work independently Communicates clearly Organized, fast learner, and enjoys problem-solving Bonus points if you're from a top engineering program (MIT, CMU, Stanford, GT, Duke, NC State, etc.) — or have equivalent skills and motivation. ⏱ Workload & Duration Part-time: 5–15 hours/week Fully remote Flexible work times Project expected to last 8–12 weeks with possibility for ongoing work if you're a great fit Budget / Hourly Rate This role is meant for students or recent grads building experience. Hourly Range: $25–$40/hr (Depending on experience, certifications, and skill level) For exceptional new grads or AWS-certified applicants, higher rates will be considered. To Apply Please include: A brief intro about your background Any coursework, projects, or internships involving AWS or automation Your GitHub (if you have one) Whether you’ve used n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar Your availability per week (days & hours) Optional but helpful: screenshots, diagrams, or any cloud-related work you’ve done.
