Upper School English Leave Replacement
The Berkeley Carroll School is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of approximately 1000 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. Our vibrant intellectual community draws students from all over the city, admission to the school is competitive, and both our parents and students value achievement and community.
We seek an experienced English teacher to join our Upper School faculty as a leave replacement for the fall semester, late August-December, 2025. This person will co-teach one section of our double-period interdisciplinary American Studies course and teach two additional courses: a section of 10th grade Voice & Style (a composition course), and a World Literature elective for seniors.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant teaching experience, strong content knowledge, strong organizational skills, a particular interest in writing instruction, and a love of teaching high school students. Experience with team- and/or interdisciplinary teaching is of interest but not required.
