About the position

Responsibilities
• Contribute to high-impact projects in the Full Stack Software Development team.
• Enhance skills in 5G Technology, AR/VR, and Computer Vision.
• Engage in application development, including SaaS development and scripting.
• Work with back-end technologies such as Express, Flask, and Ruby.
• Utilize development tools and languages including .NET, C, C++, J2EE, Python, and Java.
• Participate in enterprise development tasks like logging and monitoring.
• Develop front-end applications using React.js, Ember, or Vue.
• Analyze data processing and apply sharp analytical skills.
• Engage in mobile development for Android/OS.
• Work with service APIs, including microservices and restful services.
• Participate in web development using various frameworks and browsers.

Requirements
• Currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor's degree program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
• Good academic standing with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Coursework or demonstrated experience in scripting and coding (e.g., Python, Java, React, NodeJS, NextJS, Javascript/Typescript).
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.

Nice-to-haves
• Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• Knowledge of mobile development (e.g., Android, IOS).
• Knowledge of service Application Programming Interface (API) Integration (e.g., Microservices, Restful APIs, Web Services).
• Knowledge of Web Development (e.g., Frameworks, browsers, and embedded applications).
• Understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) automation tools and/or Secure SW development cycle.
