**Job Description**
As a United Airlines Flight Attendant, you will be an ambassador of our brand and a frontline representative for passenger safety and comfort. This role requires a high level of customer service skills, a compassionate approach to handling diverse situations and the ability to work and think independently in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our passengers.
– Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures.
– Offer personalized customer service, attending to passenger requests and needs.
– Serve meals and refreshments; sell onboard duty-free items.
– Manage emergency situations, provide medical assistance, and evacuation directives if needed.
– Maintain a thorough knowledge of all emergency equipment and all procedures.
– Keep the cabin clean and tidy throughout the flight.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
– Fluent in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
– Ability to reach overhead storage compartments and operate emergency exits and equipment.
– Compliance with United Airlines’ grooming standards and wearing company uniform.
– Legally authorized to work in the United States.
– Ability to pass a rigorous training program and a background check, including fingerprints and a drug screen.
– Comfortable flying and working varied hours in different time zones.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications:**
– Proven experience in customer service or hospitality.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Demonstrated ability to handle stress and remain calm under pressure.
– Detail-oriented and capable of managing time effectively.
