Job Summary As an Underwriting Technical Associate - Surety, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting teams by handling the booking of bonds, organizing and filing key documents, and responding to inquiries from underwriters and agencies. Key Responsibilities Provide support to assigned regional underwriting teams, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Book policy transactions accurately and efficiently, meeting corporate time service standards for new business, renewals, riders, cancellations, closeouts, and other transactions. Organize and file electronic documentation into our imaging system, adhering to corporate protocols and ensuring easy access to critical information. Communicate effectively with producers to obtain information required to complete transactions and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Participate in reviewing departmental workflow and processes, identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies. Assist underwriters with account financial analysis and special projects as needed. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaborate with remittance teams to resolve billing and collections inquiries. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of equivalent experience in insurance operations or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, and math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with underwriters, producers, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance policy administration/rating systems. An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion. Preferred Qualifications We would love to see: Experience with surety operations and systems, including agency or surety experience. Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology. Certifications or training in insurance operations or a related field.
