We value diversity, educate on equity, and create inclusive partner opportunities to ensure that you know #UBelongAtUHM!DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain 24-48 turn timesResponsible for daily communication with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Processors and assisting with their questions about various underwriting scenarios and guideline clarification, while making it a priority to respond in a timely mannerResponsible for researching information within AllRegs and agency guidelinesConstant interaction and communication with Fannie, Freddie, FHA/HUD, USDA, VA and HFA agenciesMaintain a list of trending Underwriting scenarios and using the findings to create more efficient processes within our operations and originationsResponsible for attending and participating in our Operations companywide huddlesResponsible for maintaining the Self-Employed Income Dashboard; this includes reviewing Tax Returns for self-employed income, determining what (if any) documentation may be missing that is needed for an accurate self-employed income calculation, and submitting the income documentation to IncomeGenius for analysis.Constructing and distributing weekly communications across all channels of topic specific information regarding specific topics that trend on the Underwriting Helpdesk.Troubleshoot Encompass issues that Partners may run into from Application through Processing, including DU problems and fixes, as well as address corrections, DTI calculation inaccuracies, credit reporting problems, etc.Assist Partners across all channels, Retail and TPO, and have knowledge of channel specific overlays and guidelines.Contribute to the PHD team to ensure the overall timeliness and efficiency of the Power Help Desk departmentQualificationsSKILLS REQUIREDStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong technology-based skillsDetail-orientedSkilled at multi-tasking and keeping organized to ensure proper time managementAble to work in a fast-paced environment with strict time-sensitivedeadlinesAbility to identify and resolve client issues and us good judgement in making immediate decisions that impact UHM and our PartnersEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience working with FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, VA, and HFA guidelinesComplete knowledge of the mortgage industryKnowledge of FHA/VA/USDA/CONV/HFA AgenciesKnowledge of RESPA requirements and Good Faith Estimate preparation and disclosureKnowledge of MS Office Suite and Encompass Loan Origination system is preferredThis employer participates in E-Verify.
