We’re looking for someone who wants toown that journey. This is a foundational, hands-on role . You’ll be our first dedicated UI/UX Designer , building the future of Lens design—by doing the work and setting the vision. As UI/UX Designer, you will: Own and evolve the Lens visual identity—from product UI to marketing visuals. Spearhead the implementation of our design system, ensuring consistency and clarity across all parts of the Lens experience. Design world-class user interfaces, especially for complex developer workflows in Kubernetes. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape feature designs and improve usability. Create high-quality Figma designs, interactive prototypes, and production-ready visuals. Craft visual assets for the product, web, events, social, docs—anywhere Lens shows up. Champion UI/UX quality across the org and advocate for the user. This is not a managerial or oversight role—yet. You’ll be rolling up your sleeves and making it real. Over time, you’ll help us shape what design means inside the Lens organization. Once we’ve got the foundations in place and momentum going, we expect to expand the design team—and you’ll play a key role in shaping and leading that growth. 5+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or visual design, ideally within fast-paced product organizations. Demonstrated ability to design and implement modern, intuitive user interfaces, with a focus on developer tools or complex software products. A portfolio that highlights visual sophistication, design systems thinking, and a polished execution—with a style aligned to the clarity, precision, and modern aesthetic of Lens. Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, visual asset creation, and design system development. Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with product management and engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions. Familiarity with or interest in conducting user research and usability testing, and applying insights to drive design improvements. About the Role We’re looking for a versatile UI & Visual Designer to elevate both the product experience and our visual storytelling. This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll: Design modern, intuitive UI components that make complex developer workflows feel effortless. Craft the visuals that power our product marketing—illustrations, diagrams, launch graphics, website assets, event visuals, social media creatives, and more. You’ll collaborate across product, GTM, marketing, and engineering to deliver work that is not just beautiful, but purposeful—helping developers understand, trust, and love Lens.
