Mesa seeks an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAV) Foot Patrol Technician with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to read and understand GIS maps and be able to navigate to each inspection site
Ability to learn and follow direction from supervisor and other management personnel
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Willing to contribute and adhere to the safety requirements of the working environment.
Possess good interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment with peers and clients.
Possess experience and proficiency with software applications such as Google maps, GIS maps and drawings, internet and email.
Demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service.
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or GED Knowledge of power line structures, clearances and standards
Responsibilities
Coordinate transportation to the inspection site Aid inspection team in setting up safety zone
Help maintain safety zone being aware of property owners/pedestrians in the area
Communicate with pilot to aid in safe, professional flight operations
Communicate with pilot to aid in operation of the UAS in accordance with all FAA rules
Collect images necessary to inspect structures and lines if required
Create backup files and documentation for all images as required
Note deficiencies on structures and lines
Communicate with management and project team about deficiencies found
Make suggestions to improve data collection process and efficiency
