About the position
This position is designed to help students become better independent learners by assisting them in understanding course material and answering their questions. It is a part-time, non-benefited role specifically for University of North Dakota (UND) students. The position requires a commitment of 6-12 hours per week and is classified as non-exempt, meaning it is eligible for overtime pay. The work is not fully remote or hybrid, indicating that in-person attendance may be required.
Responsibilities
Assist students in understanding course material

Identify strengths and areas of improvement regarding coursework and study habits

Answer student questions and guide them through class assignments
,
Conduct review sessions before exams
,
Complete CRLA-certified tutoring training
,
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and hours worked
,
Perform other duties as assigned by the Tutor Coordinator
Requirements
Must have taken Accounting 200 & 201 with a minimum grade of B
,
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
,
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
