Trial Attorney with Expertise in Auto Insurance Defense

Job Description:
Farmers Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Trial Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for representing clients in all cases assigned by your supervisor, handling matters of moderate to great complexity, and assisting in the handling of cases assigned to other attorneys. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in insurance defense and tort law. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective strategies to protect our clients' interests. As an Insurance Defense Trial Attorney, you will handle cases from start to finish, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced attorneys in their development as trial lawyers.

Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all cases assigned by your supervisor;
- Handle matters of moderate to great complexity and/or exposure;
- Assist in the handling of cases assigned to other attorneys;
- Functionally supervise attorneys who have been requested to assist in the handling of particular cases;
- Consult with and render opinions to members of the Claims Departments;
- Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems;
- Perform other functions as assigned;

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Law school degree and member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located;
- At least three years as an Attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience;
- Must be capable of handling cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision;
